This train splits at Horsham.  Please ensure you travel in the rear portion of the train (destination Bognor Regis) rather than the front portion of the train (destination Southampton Central).

Return Travel to London

Trains for London Victoria depart Amberley at 17 minutes past the hour with a journey time of approximately 1 ½ hours.  For example, the 15.17 from Amberley arrives London Victoria at 16.45.

Cost:

Adult tickets to the Chalk Pits Museum cost £17.00.  For those 60 or over, the cost is £15.00.  However, admission is only £19.50 for two people with a National Rail 2 for 1 voucher and evidence of a valid train ticket to Amberley.  To get a voucher, click this link: Amberley Museum 2 for 1.  Tickets can be brought in advance from Amberley Chalk Pits Museum website, or pay on the day when entering the museum.

Educational Free Pass

The free pass ticket should be from your home station to Amberley.

For those cannot use an Education Free Pass (see above) the cheapest ticket combination for the trains above from London Victoria

Return:  Advance Single: £7.00 or £4.60 with a valid railcard.

Note that advance tickets are quota-controlled, so booking as early as possible is strongly recommended before the lower price ‘tiers’ sell out. Advance tickets can only be used on the booked train.

If you do not want to be restricted to specific trains, the cheapest flexible ticket, which can be purchased on the day is:

London Terminals to Amberley off Peak Day Return £31.50 or £20.75 with a valid railcard, including a Network Railcard.  Note that ticket queues at Victoria station can be significant, so advance purchase and ticket collection is recommended.

Tickets can be purchased at: Southern Railway or any National Rail website. DO NOT use thetrainline or other similar third party sites as you will pay more as these sites charge fees which National Rail Train Operator websites and some third party websites do not charge.
