The Locomotive & Carriage Institution website was first launched in 1996.  The site was then produced with Microsoft Front Page.

On 11th August 2014 the Locomotive & Carriage Institution website was relaunched.  The site is currently produced with Serif WebPlus X8.

This website has been developed and maintained in-house by the Locomotive & Carriage Institution.

This website is designed to work with displays set to a minimum resolution of 1080 pixels wide - for displays with a lower resolution it will be necessary to scroll left and right.

Three different web hosting providers have been used since the web site was first produced, with the current provider, hostinguk.net, has been used from February 2016.

This website does not require Adobe Flash Player to operate - so will work fine if you have uninstalled or disabled Flash due to security concerns.
