Lectures:

Venue and Time:

All lectures, will be held at our normal venue, Palestra House, 197 Blackfriars Rd, London SE1 8JZ

Palestra House is located opposite Southwark Underground station.

All lectures will commence at 18.00hrs and are scheduled to finish no later than19.30, including questions.

Access to Palestra - Security:

For lectures on the Ground Floor

Please wait in the reception area until called by a Locomotive & Carriage Institution Council member.  It is not necessary to sign-in at reception and you will not need to go through the security gates.

For lectures on the Upper Floors

Transport for London security rules for access to Palestra require that Institution members attending an Institution lecture which is not on the Ground Floor must report in the first instance to the reception desk, where they will be given an individual building pass.  All members must be accompanied by a building pass holder at all times - please wait in reception until a pass holder meets you to escort you through the building.

Please inform a member of the L&CI Committee who hold a building pass if you need to leave the lecture early, ideally please have this conversation before the start of the lecture so that arrangements can be made in advance.  It is not possible to go down stairs without been escorted by a building pass holder.
