Join us for the Locomotive & Carriage Institution Annual General Meeting 2020, being held at Sheffield Park on the Bluebell Railway.

As well as the AGM, there is an optional buffet lunch, a tour around the Atlantic House locomotive shed where brand new Brighton H2 Atlantic 32424 Beachy Head is being built, as well as ride on the 11 mile Bluebell Railway - the first standard gage persevered railway in the World, through the glorious Sussex countryside.  It will also be possible to visit the Toy & Collectors Fair at Horsted Keynes station.

There are two options:

• Inclusive cost of Bluebell Railway unlimited travel, Brighton Altalntic House tour and buffet, £25.00;
• AGM only - no buffet or Bluebell Railway travel £0.00 (free).  Make your own way to Sheffield Park.

Educational Free Pass

This is an educational visit, so those members with protected (safeguarded) travel facilities can apply for an educational free pass.  Please see: Free Pass for further information.

The free pass ticket should be from your home station to East Grinstead.

Train Tickets - for those without free travel facilities

The cheapest tickets are as follows:

• Off Peak return from London Victoria to East Grinstead is £16.70, or £11.05 with a railcard.  This ticket is valid on any train to and from East Grinstead on a Saturday and can be booked on the day or advance.  However note the ticket office and machines can be very busy at London Victoria on a Saturday morning, so purchase and collection of the ticket in advance is recommended.

Book at Southern Railway or any UK National Rail Train Operator Website.  DO NOT use the Trainline or similar websites as you will pay more in booking fees etc.

Notes:

1) The National Rail and Bluebell Railway Stations are separate at East Grinstead and it is few minutes walk between the two (turn right at the exit from the National Rail station and walk along the road towards Sainsburys).  It is therefore recommended that, if possible, travel on the train arriving at East Grinstead at 09.50, rather than 10.20.

2) Trains from St Pancras towards East Croydon also depart Farringdon 4 minutes after St Pancras departure and London Blackfriars 9 minutes later.
