Travel to North Road Museum to see the history the railways in the area and use the new viewing area to see the progress of Prince of Wales P2 locomotive..

We then travel onwards to Shildon to visit Locomotion Museum and Rail 200 exhibition.

The free pass ticket should be from your home station to Shildon.

Train Tickets - for those without free travel facilities

The cheapest tickets are as follows:

•  Advance Single London Kings Cross to York (on 08.00) £53.80
• Off-Peak Day Return Darlington to Shildon £4.90 (this will allow a break of journey at North Road)
• Advance Single Darlington to London Kings Cross (on 17.00) £57.40

Note that Advance Tickets are only valid on the quoted train and are quota-controlled on price tiers, so booking as far in advance as possible is recommended.

Book at LNER or any train operator website.  DO NOT book at the trainline as you will pay more due to booking fees.
