Join us for the Locomotive & Carriage Institution Annual General Meeting 2019, being held in the Mill Hey Brew House at Haworth on the Keithley and Worth Valley Railway.

As well as the AGM, there is an optional buffet lunch, a tour around Haworth locomotive shed and of course, a ride on the Keithley and Worth Valley Railway - a four and half mile wide through the Worth Valley.

Cost

There are three options:

• Inclusive cost of buffet, locomotive shed visit and unlimited rides on Keighley and Worth Valley Railway  £26.00;
• Locomotive shed visit and unlimited rides on Keighley and Worth Valley Railway (no buffet)  £18.00;
• AGM only - no buffet or Keighley & Worth Valley travel £0.00 (free).  Make your own way to Haworth

Educational Free Pass

This is an educational visit, so those members with protected (safeguarded) travel facilities can apply for an educational free pass.  Please see: Free Pass for further information.

The free pass ticket should be from your home station to Keighley.

Train Tickets - for those without free travel facilities

Currently (as of 02/03/19) the cheapest tickets are as follows:

• Outward: on 07.03, 07.33 or 08.03 from London Kings Cross to Keighley, Advance Single £23.00 or £15.20 with a railcard.  
• Return on the 15.31 or 16.01 from Keithley £18 Advance Single or  £11.90 with a railcard.    Note there is a very tight connection from the K&WVR to catch the 15.31, so with an advance ticket you may consider it safer to go for the 16.01.
• The cheapest flexible ticket is a Super Off Peak Return for £115.90 or £76.50 with a railcard.

Note that the advance purchase tickets are only available on the booked train and date.  These tickets are quota-controlled, so booking as soon as possible is strongly recommended.  Book at www.lner.co.uk  or any UK National Rail Train Operator Website.  DO NOT use the Trainline or similar websites as you will pay more in booking fees etc.

It is also possible to add a trip to the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway, including a trip on the Cumbrian Coast line the previous day, staying in Carlisle overnight with a journey on the Settle & Carlisle line on the morning of the AGM.
