Traveline Getting close to integrated transport timetables - this site works out multi-mode (bus and rail) public transport journeys for different regions of the UK.   Once you select an area, click 'journey planner' to look-up times between the places you specify - can even work on post codes.  However, not fully refined and can be rather strange at times.  Check locations where it thinks you want to travel to and from carefully!  Still, a very major step forward in taking the mystery out of UK public transport.
DB Europe Timetable Journey Planner for the majority of European railway networks including the UK.  Site produced by German Railways.  Provides connections for journeys between most European operators, including journeys from and within the UK.  Unfortunately excludes Eire and Northern Ireland.  As with most journey planners, does not always handle cross-city journeys (cross-London, cross-Paris etc.) that well and so sometimes best to ask separate journey queries for each leg of a proposed journey each side of a major city.    Actual street addresses in Germany can be input and the site works out connect times based on all forms of public transport - impressive!  Whilst lighting-fast for working out times in the UK, use with care especially for weekend journeys as does not usually take into account timetable alterations due to engineering works.
