An archive of past overseas visits by by the Locomotive & Carriage Institution since 1980.  Visits prior to then, including 'grand' overseas visits in the 1930's appear in the "History" section.

The Institution's 1999 Trip to Spain.  Amongst other things included a tour of the AVE Depot in Madrid and a tour around ALSTOM works in Valencia building Class 67 locomotives for EWS.
Berlin "Phoenix Tour" in 1997.  Included in this tour were visits to the Berlin S-Bahn Main Works at Schöneweide, Berlin S-Bahn Historic Depot,  ADdtranz works at Hennigsdorf,  Berlin U-Bahn Control Room at Kleistpark and the Lignite Mining Company and Railway in Saxony.
The 1996 trip to Sweden, some 50 years after the Institution's first trip.
