The Swiss Charter Train
Saturday 30th September and Sunday 1st October 2006
Following on from the successful "Breaking of the Ice" tour in November 2005, another Swiss railtour will be operated between Saturday 30th September and Sunday 1st October, in association with Mercia Charters.
This tour is open to all - you do not need to be a Locomotive & Carriage Institution Member

Sunday 1st October: Full requested route: Interlaken Ost (pu) - Spiez (pu) - Thun - Belp - Bern - Kerzers - Neuchâtel - Biel/Bienne - Grenchen Süd - Solothurn - Oensingen - Balsthal - Oensingen - Olten - Aarburg-Oftringen - Langenthal - Burgdorf - Hasle-Rüegsau - Konolfingen - Thun - Balmholz (Thun Docks) - Thun - Spiez (sd) - Interlaken Ost - Boningen Werkstatte - Interlaken Ost (sd).
We are expecting the tour will use a minimum of 8 locomotives over the two days of our charters. Cost of the tour is £182 per person. Note that this excludes travel to Switzerland and accommodation.
